We the members of Duke Ukem would like to wholeheartedly thank our wonderful public for their enthusiasm and unwavering support over the past six years. We don’t deserve nearly the amount of love we have received from you all.
Thanks to everyone for coming to gigs and singing along and dancing with us, we need all the help we can get. Thanks to our families, friends and loved ones for putting up with years of boring ukulele conversations and annoying practice noise. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Talbot for letting us practice in their workshop (Secret Ukulele Laboratory) every week. Big up everyone who let us play in their pubs, in their fields, in their tents and on their boats. I mean obviously we’ve done most of the work, so you’re welcome.
…and now comes the time for us to depart, with tears in our eyes but a song in our hearts. In years to come wherever you are, spare a though for those yessirs and their tiny guitars.
Sunny days over crashing waves, cheeky seagulls floating on the breeze and an island lost in time. This is the world of The Higgins Brothers and the inspiration behind their music. Section Five Records
